ALOUD at Central Library

The Los Angeles Public Library offers a wide variety of literary events and performances to the Los Angeles community through ALOUD at Central Library.
 
ALOUD at Central Library is an on-going series featuring author talks, panel discussions, lectures on a wide range of topics, including current events, the arts, biography, history, medicine, business, and religion. Poetry readings, concerts, dance and spoken word performances are also part of the mix at the Mark Taper Auditorium. These programs are made possible through funds raised by the Library Foundation.

ach year, the Los Angeles Public Library presents more than 15,000 free cultural and educational programs in libraries throughout the city. These include author talks, musical performances, poetry readings, storytelling, puppet shows, wildlife demonstrations, play readings, crafts workshops, and writing classes.
